In this week’s video we are discussing quality in endoscopy and how well our colonoscopies detect polyps which may lead to cancer.

We discuss the GIQuIC initiative which measures factors such as:

– withdrawal time – adenoma detection rate
– cecal intubation documentation
– quality of bowel prep
– risk assessment documentation

Finally, we present the Cedar Valley Digestive Health Center’s colonoscopy scorecard and compare our numbers to national benchmarks.
